In this series of paintings (2007-2010) I attempt to convey, pictorially, my perceptions relating to the stoic ambivalence of time and space.
These Interiors are depicted in a very painterly fashion implying both an innate sense of beauty contrasted by ambiguous suggestions: windows that view....? doors that open to...? ladders that lead to...? spaces filled with ...? objects meaning...?

My more current projects are much less dogmatic and more ethereal and positive in attitude and projection.

My art begins with a vision and ends in a story. Viewed through my eyes, events, people, places and things take on a new perspective.  I capture those moments through the use of fabric, texture, stitching, patterns and color: binding them together to create a unique and individual story.

My goal is to evoke an emotional response from people as they view my art. I feel successful when the portrayal of the story within the art can be felt by the viewer

Art From The Woods by Curtis K. Garth

I went back into woodworking three Years ago after receiving a sign from above. When I came back from getting more supplies I noticed a large 18 foot branch had fallen from a tree that was right over my head. I couldn't have been gone for more than 8 seconds. Had I been there you might not be reading these words today. At that time, my thoughts were of getting back into my woodwork, so I took this as a sign.
